FoodChoice is the practice of dietitian and lifestyle coach Irene Salverda, with locations in Krimpen aan den IJssel, Capelle aan den IJssel and Rotterdam. The practice provides dietary advice and guidance with illness, recovery and lifestyle changes.

Specialisations

The practice provides guidance with a range of nutrition questions and focuses on gastrointestinal and liver care, oncology and rehabilitation, integrated care and care for older people.

Approach

After registration, an intake and personal dietary or nutrition advice follow. Follow-up consultations support long-term behaviour change; guidance can be provided at a location, by video call or at home on request.

Locations and guidance

Consultations are available at health centres, online and at home. Consultation hours are from 08.00 to 17.00; other times can be arranged.

Reimbursement and cancellations

Dietary advice is reimbursed for up to three hours per year under the basic health insurance, with the deductible applying. You can cancel free of charge from 48 hours in advance; for Monday appointments, Thursday is the deadline.

• Integrated care may be reimbursed without applying the deductible if the GP is affiliated
• Supplementary insurance may cover additional hours

About Irene

Irene Salverda graduated as a dietitian/nutritionist in 1993 and founded FoodChoice in 2006. She is a member of the NVD and is registered in the Quality Register for Paramedical Professionals.
