How it works

An initial consultation lasts 45 to 60 minutes. The dietitian discusses the reason for seeking help, medical history, complaints, exercise and nutrition, among other things, and works with the client to set a nutrition plan and treatment goal.

• Initial consultation: 45–60 minutes, with an average of 30 minutes to prepare the plan
• Long follow-up consultation: 30 minutes
• Short follow-up consultation: 15 minutes

Reimbursement and cancellations

Dietetics is covered by the basic health insurance policy for up to three hours per year. If unable to attend, the practice asks clients to cancel at least 24 hours in advance by phone, email or WhatsApp.

• The practice has contracts with all health insurers in the Netherlands.
• For diabetes mellitus, CVRM (cardiovascular risk management) or COPD, reimbursement may be available through integrated care without an excess.
