About Goudswater

Goudswater is an independent practice for psychosocial support in Gouda. The practice offers sessions for people with psychological, social and relationship problems, individually, with loved ones or in a group.

Support

The sessions focus on how you relate to yourself and those around you. Together, the situation and problem are clarified and session goals are set.

Training and meetings

Group training starts when there are enough participants. Meetings take place every two weeks.

• Assertiveness training: eight meetings
• Personal development course: five Wednesday evening meetings
• ‘Hold Me Tight’: eight meetings for couples who want to improve their relationship

Approach

After the intake, the session goals are set. An evaluation follows after five sessions; sessions take place once every two weeks. Appointments are available during the day, and visits are by appointment only.

• Intake within two weeks of registration
• Individual sessions last one hour
• Relationship sessions last an hour and a half
• Clients may view their session reports

About the practitioner

Cora van Leeuwen trained as a nurse and earned a bachelor of social work. She takes post-HBO training courses every year.

Practical information

You can ask for support with or without a referral. Goudswater has a Christian outlook on life and respects clients’ views on life. The practitioner is bound by confidentiality.
