About Dogs and Joy

Dogs and Joy provides dog training courses and workshops in Katwijk and Zoetermeer. The lessons focus on positive training and cooperation between dog and owner.

Training courses

The offering includes courses and scent detection training. Tailored options are also possible.

Approach

A reward system is used, with a clicker or clicker word from the basic course onwards. Once the dog has mastered an exercise, use of the clicker is phased out.

Locations and lessons

In Katwijk, private lessons and small group lessons take place at the indoor location of Martin Gaus Hondenschool Katwijk. Group lessons in Zoetermeer take place at Martin Gaus Hondenschool Zoetermeer; private lessons can be given there at home or in a suitable setting.

About the instructors

The instructors hold diplomas and certificates and attend annual refresher courses. Mariëlla van Eijk teaches the lessons and training courses.
