About Creative Play

Creative Play offers creative therapy, psychological support, and coaching for children, young people, adults, and families in Amsterdam and online. It also offers consultations for parents and schools, as well as creative workshops and groups.

Support uses play, creativity, imagination, and conversation. Sessions are tailored to the needs of the person or family.

Approach

A programme starts with a free 15-minute phone call. This is followed by an assessment package of five sessions, after which a suitable therapeutic approach is proposed.

Themes and support

Support focuses, among other things, on emotions, resilience, and relationships. Creative Play also supports families moving to a new country and schools seeking to understand children's emotional and developmental needs.

About Irina

Irina Calota is a clinical psychologist, a specialist in play therapy and drama therapy, and an Adlerian practitioner. She has more than twenty years of clinical experience and has completed advanced training in play therapy, drama therapy, Adlerian psychology, Theraplay, and Filial Therapy.

Reimbursement and cancellations

The services are currently not covered by Dutch health insurance. Appointments can be cancelled free of charge with more than 24 hours' notice; for shorter notice or a no-show, 50% of the session fee is charged.
