Approach

After a referral from the GP, there is a short telephone registration call. The intake consists of two to three conversations; after that, the client discusses the treatment recommendation and treatment plan with the therapist. Therapy sessions usually last 45 to 60 minutes.

Reimbursement

Almost all psychological and psychotherapeutic treatments offered to adults are covered by basic health insurance, subject to conditions. The client pays the costs of care that is not covered by insurance.

Practical information

An appointment can be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. If the client fails to attend or cancels within 24 hours more than twice, they pay for the consultation themselves; the health insurer does not reimburse this.
